Very large and congested park: too expensive for amenities offered. Restrooms and showers impeccable. Staff very friendly. This park considers itself to be a resort because of the proximity to the lake and availability of rental paddleboats, etc. Not a relaxing park due to high traffic, dogs, and teenagers. However, the nearby Cedars floating restaurant is an excellent fishhouse. They also serve the finest chocolate cake we have either eaten in our 62 years of life. Absolutely wonderful meal and cake. Would not stay at Blackwells again but would frequent the Cedars restaurant.
Basic RV park. No frills but well maintained. Owners are very friendly and have a good website of the surrounding tourist areas. On site laundry. Sites are grass with gravel roads.
The park is a bit cramped. The sites and roads are uneven gravel and in need of maintenance. The wifi was good. Only a few Canadian tv stations available - no cable tv. The owners are very friendly and there are a lot of nice wood carvings. The price for the park is in line with the services provided. There was never any soap in either the men's or women's restrooms during the 3 nights we stayed there. You only get 6 minutes of shower water for $1.00 so you had better hurry when showering.
Gravel roads and sites. Older park with a lot of long term rigs staying there. Some even had wooden decks and storage sheds. Wi-Fi was fast and worked well. The owners are friendly. Good central location to Ocean Shores, Westport, and ocean beaches.
This park suffers a bit from age - a bit long in the tooth. Our site was not even close to level. The wireless Wi-Fi is free and very high speed. The staff was very courteous. The sites are a bit too close together. The price ($40 before Good Sam discount)is too high for what you get. Good access to I-84 coming from east or west. If you are looking for a RV "motel" a bit east of Portland, this may fill your needs.
Nightly rate was with a 30% off coupon. Facility is very well maintained. The staff is friendly. Not what I would call a resort. Not much to do at the facility except sleep and indulge in their modest continental breakfast. Nice touches are: A free daily (not Sunday) newspaper delivered to your site. They have a fairly robust free DVD lending library. They have some necessity type supplies available for purchase.
Use a free night camping pass we received when we purchased our trailer. Looking for trees - look elsewhere. This was the first park in the KM Resorts system and it shows. Got accosted by the on-site high pressure sales person trying to sell us a membership in KM plus CC or RPI. The bottom line was that they wanted over $5,250 for the first year with annual dues of $350 TO KM Resorts plus the annual RPI dues. We didn't like the park or the sales tactics so we passed.
